Here's a great gift bag you can make.

Gift Bag How-To

Gift bag (available at discount or craft stores)
1" circle punch
Jumbo sun punch
Small circle punch
Black Sakura Micron pen
Zig 2-Way glue
Fiskars Personal Paper Trimmer - 8 1/2" or 12" will work
Hermafix Tab Dispenser
Straight scissors
Eyelets
"Crayon Dots on Royal Blue" Paper from PaperPatch
ABC Tracers "Block Upper" template
Cardstock: cream (or other flesh color), black, white, red, brown, yellow.

1. Face: Trace a circular object onto cardstock for the face. (I used a raisin container 4 1/4" in
diameter traced onto cream*cardstock.)

2. Eyes: Punch two white circles with 1" circle punch*. Then punch two more 1" circles from brown*
cardstock (or whatever color you want the eyes to be.)
Using Zig 2-Way glue*, glue the brown circles about 1/4" down from the top of the white circles, and trim the overhanging brown crescent-shaped part off. Punch two small circles* (just under 1/2") from black cardstock*. Glue these to the brown part of the eyes. Punch two sun punches* from black cardstock. (Sun Punch is just under 1" diameter.)
Glue these to the backs of the white parts of the eyes so that 6-7 sun rays show as eyelashes. Adhere eyes to face.

3. Mouth: Using a heart punch* (7/8" across) and red cardstock*, punch a heart and adhere with Zig
2-Way Glue to the face. Use a black Sakura Micron pen* to draw the lips and mouth.

4. Hair: Using Fiskars Personal Paper Trimmer*, cut strips of brown cardstock 1/8" thick and adhere to
face. With scissors, trim any excess hair from the top of the head, and trim the bottom for the
desired length. Strips of cardstock can also be wrapped around a pencil to create a curled effect.

5. Adhere face to top half of the bag using Hermafix Tab Dispenser*.

6. Name: Using ABC Tracers "Block Upper" template* and "Crayon Dots on Royal Blue" Paper Patch paper*, trace letters spelling the name of the person you are making the gift bag for. I turn the template up-side down and trace the backwards letters onto the back of the paper.
This way it is easier to see, as the back is white, and there are no pencil marks showing on the front.
Adhere the cut-out letters onto yellow cardstock* with Zig 2-Way glue and trim around the letters
with scissors leaving a small margin of yellow around each letter. Then adhere these letters to red
cardstock, spelling the name. I stagger the letters, overlapping some slightly to create a more
playful look. It's also easier than trying to make them exactly straight. Trim red cardstock to fit
onto bag.

Using the Hermafix Tab Dispenser, adhere red cardstock with name onto the bottom half of the bag. Put yellow eyelets* onto the top right and left corners of red cardstock.
(Instructions for attaching eyelets can be found on our eyelets page.)

Fill bag with treats and give to someone special!
