Adoption | Angels

Adoption Angels
Adoption
(Author Unknown)
Not flesh of my flesh
Nor bone of my bone,
But nevertheless
Still my own.
Never forget for a single minute
you weren't born under my
heart, but in it.

Adoption
(By Brenda Meece)
http://www.miracleofadoption.com
Today I kissed an angel
I knew it from the start
The first time my angel
Smiled at me
I gave away my heart
Today I kissed an angel
This angel child of mine
Though not of my creation
My child by God's design
Today I kissed an angel
My heart is dancing wild
Our family, by a miracle
Blessed by our angel child

Love touched our very hearts
with tenderness anew,
the day we heard your little voice
and cast our eyes on you.

One sought for you a home that she could not provide--
The other prayed for a child and her hope was not denied.

Born not from our flesh,
but born in our hearts,
You were longed for and wanted
and loved from the start.
Conceived from a blessing
sent straight from above,
Our very "own" son
at last home to love.

Labor of My Heart
(song: A Mother's Touch)
(By Steve and Annie Chapman)
I would have given anything
To be the one to know the pain
Of bringing you into this world
But, it couldn't be.
Though I did not bring you here
Still I labored through my tears
Through the long nights I prayed
You would come to me
You are the labor of my heart
Child, you are the labor of my heart
With all my strength I prayed
Til they laid you in my arms
Child, you are the labor of my heart
Blessed be the Maker of bone, of other bone
He's made flesh of my desire
and today, we'll take you home.
You are the labor of my heart
Child, you are the labor of my heart
with all my strength I prayed
Til they laid you in my arms
Child, you are the labor of my heart.

Our Child
(Author Unknown)
With anxious hearts and open arms,
We sought you everywhere.
You, dear child, are a gift from God,
The answer to our prayer.
No matter whether birth or choice,
A home is blessed form above.
When caring parents claim their child,
A family is formed by love.

Our Family Tree
(Author Unknown)
We've added to our family tree
A stronger one to make
A child from another plant
Has become our new namesake.
Just as a limb is grafted
From one tree to another
It alters and improves the plant
Making it, uniquely, like no other
Our family tree has been improved
Adoption made this so.
For love, much more than bloodlines,
Makes us thrive and grow.
We chose to share our life and love
And all the joys to come
Our "family tree" has blossomed
With the arrival of our cherished one.

Our Prayer
(Author Unknown)
We prayed a long time
Asking God for you.
We shared our dreams
And cried to Him, too.
He listened and answered
Our prayerful plea,
And that's when He gave you
to your dad and me!

To My Child
Once there were two women
who never knew each other
One you do not remember
The other you call mother.
Two different lives
Shaped to make yours one.
One became your guiding star
The other became your sun.
The first gave you life
The second taught you how to live it.
The first gave you a need for love
And the second was there to give it.
One gave you a nationality
The other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of talent
The other gave you aim.
One gave you emotions
The other calmed your fears.
One saw your sweet first smile
The other dried your tears.
One gave you up...
It was all that she could do.
The other prayed for a child
And God led her straight to you.
And now you ask me
Through your tears,
The age old question
Through the years
Heredity or environment-
Which are you the product of?
Neither, my darling, neither
Just two different kinds of love.

Asian Adoption
God sends us many precious gifts,
But there none that can compare
With the wonder of our baby
Who's the answer to our prayer.
The sparkle in those almond eyes
Is like the twinkling stars at night,
And the smile on that moon-shaped
Face is like sunshine's golden light.
An angel child with raven hair
And tiny little nose.
Skin so soft and perfect
As the petals of a rose.
No miracle's as wondrous-
Not trees, nor sky, nor sun-
As this "little bit of heaven," and
Our new life that's just begun!

Guardian Angels
Angels are the guardians of our souls.
Guardian Angels never take vacations.
Guardian angels work on a wing and a prayer.
My guardian has a tough job.
Our guardian angels are our companions for life.
Wherever you go, whatever you do, May your guardian angel watch over you.

Guardian angel up above
Look down on me with all your love
Watch over me both day and night
And guide me with your precious light

Sleep, my child, and peace attend thee
All through the night
Guardian angels God will send thee
All through the night

Regular Angels
An angel without freckles is like the heavens without stars.
An angel falls from heaven with each drop of rain to guide it to its place.
An angel in the house they say, will guard your family night and day.
An angel's work is never done.
Angel eyes
Angel on Duty
Angel sent from up above, please protect the ones I love.
Angels are a natural part of the scenery, so don't be surprised if you don't recognize them right away.
Angels carry messages of love.
Angels gather here.
The angels light another star Each time there is a birth
To celebrate each precious child
The good Lord sends to earth.
Anyone who helps you grow is an angel to you.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers
for by doing so
Some have unwittingly entertained angels
Earth Angel
God lent us an angel, sent from Heaven above.
Good friends are angels on earth
Grandmas are earth angels
Grandmothers are angels in training
Happy is the heart that believes in angels
I Believe in Angels
If you share a smile, you have also shared an angels love
If you walk in love, you walk with angels.
Lights fade, stars appear and all the angels gather here
Love is how you earn your wings
Mommy/Daddy's little angel
Music is the voice of the angels
Night falls, stars appear, evening angels gather here.
Sent from above
Sun shines, birds sing, garden angels flowers bring.
This little angel was sent from above, to fill your heart with joy and love.
Wherever you go, Whatever you do, May the angels watch over you.

An Angel Whisper
Angels are ever all around us
And with His love they do surround us.
When my heart is sore in need
The angels come, my soul to feed.
They come to me from up above
and sing in whispers of "His" love.
When in my heart I feel a tug
I know that it's an Angel's hug.

What Do Angels Look Like?
Like the little old lady who returned
your wallet yesterday.
Like the taxi driver that told you that your eyes
light up the world when you smile.
Like the small child who showed you
the wonder in simple things.
Like the poor man who offered to
share his lunch with you.
Like the rich man who showed you that it
really is all possible, if only you believe.
Like the stranger who just happened to come along,
when you had lost your way.
Like the friend who touched your heart,
when you didn't think you had one to touch.
Angels come in all sizes and shapes,
all ages and skin types.
Some with freckles, some with dimples,
some with wrinkles, some without.
They come disguised as friends, enemies,
teachers, students, lovers and fools.
They don't take life too seriously,
they travel light.
They leave no forwarding address,
they ask nothing in return.
They wear sneakers with gossamer wings,
they get a great deal on dry cleaning.
They are hard to find when your eyes are closed,
But they are everywhere you look, when you choose to see.
